How will the silent auction work this year?
This year, we are excited to introduce mobile bidding for our silent auction. The auction will actually open online a few days before the event, which means you can look over items and bid early! We will send out an email announcing the opening of the auction and you can also send the link for the auction to anyone you think might be interested in the items. You do not have to attend the event to bid! And don't worry - we will have professionals on-hand at the to help bidders!
Is my sponsorship or donation tax deductible?
Any amount of your sponsorship or donation that is above and beyond the actual value of the goods or service you purchase is tax deductible and is considered a donation to the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Silent and live auction items will all have an amount of value attached. Any donation that does not have a value or service attached to it is considered fully tax deductible. If you haven’t already received one, all sponsors will receive an official receipt for tax purposes from the UW Foundation.
